At his latest press conference, broadcast on the official Youtube channel of the club, Everton boss Marco Silva said that Alex Iwobi and Moise Kean both impressed him on Aston Villa.
In their last outing, Villa beat Everton 2-0 and poorly performed in the contest.
In the final half-hour, when Iwobi and Kean were taken off the bench, the Toffees’ brightest spell was arguable.
And Silva acknowledges that his eye was caught by a couple of fresh signings from Everton.
“I agree with you, not just him [Alex Iwobi] but also Moise Kean, for our team, the effect they have had over the past 35 minutes was crucial,” Silva said. “We didn’t score the chance we created, unfortunately, but the impact was good, they understood what we expected from them.” Iwobi and Kean are both still waiting for their first start at Everton and could be featured tomorrow night.
Silva’s men take on Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup, and the tie might be the perfect opportunity to make their full debut to the Everton new boys.
Goodison Park is very excited about the effect Kean could have in specific.
So far this season, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has failed to hit the back of the net, putting pressure on Kean to quickly find his feet when he gets a chance.
